Sonadow: Toothache

Sonic isn't to happy about Shadow's strange action. When he was walking on the sidewalk, there was a child crying, pointing at a certain ebony hedgehog who was biting on a medium-sized lollypop, while sitting on a tall building.

Sonic watched him bite his small, canine, sharp teeth on the sweet treat and was amazed to see a chunk bitten off with just one bite. Shadow didn't seem right. The azure hedgehog never saw his counterpart look so desperate before. When the treat was all gone, he looks around and jumps off the building. Sonic follows him.

"Shadster, wait up!" he called.

Shadow continues to run, ignoring Sonic as he runs into the forest. Sonic stops in his tracks as he looks around for the ebony hedgehog. There was a cracking noise nearby and the blue hero walks toward it. There, up in the trees, biting on a branch, was Shadow.

"Shadow, what's wrong? You're biting on things and it's kinda freaky." Sonic said.

Shadow did not respond, he just keeps chomping on the branch in desperation.

"Sonic!"

The blue hedgehog looks up into the sky and was glad to see his brother, Tails, come down with the x-tornado.

"Hi Tails."

"Hi Sonic, I heard someone talking about a black hedgehog taking a child's lollypop and I knew it was Shadow's doing. I was wondering if you know where he is."

Sonic points to the tree with Shadow in it.

"Oh, well..., do you know what's causing him to...uh...."

"Bro, I don't have any evidents since Shadow won't tell me nothing."

Tails thinks.

"I can tranqualise him so we can find out what's wrong with him."

Sonic nods and watches the ebony hedgehog as Tails grabs a straw with a needle full of liquid. The young kit aims and blows on the stick as the needle hits dead on, stabbing into Shadow's side.

"YOUCH!!!" Shadow yelped, leaping out of the tree.

He starts running.

"Oh no, Shadow come back!" Sonic called, speeding after the scared hedgehog.

"Wait for me!" Tails quickly starts the plain and flies after them.

Knuckles was laying back on the old ruins, watching the Master Emerald as always when Shadow appeared and rams into him.

"Ah! Dammit Shadow, watch where your going!?! he shouted.

The black hedgie just pushed him out of the way and keeps on running. That's when Sonic came in.

"Hey knux, have you seen Shadow by any chance?"

"He went that way, why?"

"That's what I'm wondering, see ya!"

Sonic left. Knuckles was curious and decided to follow him. The blue hero soon caught sight of his counterpart and noticed that he was slowing down. The drug was kicking in.

Shadow's ears drooped. He couldn't run any further and walks, stumbling near a small lake. The needle had already fallen off his side, which felt sore, and the drug was traveling in his bloodstream, making him lose consciousness. But he fights it off, getting back up on his feet.

The black hedgehog felt his muscles weaken and he just kept on fighting it. This made him angry.

"Shadow!"

Sonic jogs over to him and stops, close enough for him to touch him.

Shadow's vision was all a blur, he couldn't see a thing. That's when he blacked out. The blue hero catches him.

"What happened?" Knuckles asked.

"I don't know, Tails drugged him so we could find out what's bothering him or something."

Tails lands the plain and told Sonic and Knuckles to hop in. Sonic carried his counterpart into the plain and they head out.

~In Tails' workship~

Sonic lays Shadow down on the couch. Tails began to do some tests on him. Nothing out of the ordinary. Normal and healthy. The young kit didn't see the problem.

"Nothing, he's clean, Sonic."

"That's not right, I know something wasn't right back there when Shadow knawed on the bark and bit down on the lollypop."

"Check his mouth then." Knuckles suggested.

"Alright." Tails said, putting a mask over his muzzle.

He gently pryed open Shadow's jaws and examined his gums and teeth.

"Sonic, flashlight please."

Sonic gave him a small flashlight. Turning it on, Tails checks the ebony's hedgehog's teeth.

"They look pretty nice." Sonic commented.

The two friends stared at him.

"What?"

Tails shook his head and went back to checking Shadow's teeth. He moves each one carefully. That's when he stopped on a loose one at the top row to the left. Shadow has a loose tooth!

"Guys, you're not going to believe this but Shadow's got a loose tooth." Tails announced.

Sonic and knuckles's mouth dropped to the floor.

"Seriously!?!" They both said.

"Yes, and judging by the way he's biting on things, he's got a toothache because of his loose tooth."

"That's pretty cool. The ultimate lifeform has a loose tooth for the first time." Sonic said.

Shadow shifts, opening his eyes. His painfully tooth shifting itself made him grit his teeth. He wants to chew on something so bad to make the pain go away. He gets up and rubs his head.

"Shadow, you're up." the blue hero said. "We know about your toothache so we-"

"No."

"You didn't know what I was about to say."

"That you and your friends were going to help me make my tooth fall out so the pain would go away."

Oookaaayyyy, so maybe you knew what I was going to say."

Shadow licks his lips and makes his way to the door.

"Owww...." he muttered, stopping near the door.

"You sure you don't need our help?" Knuckles asked.

"Of course I'm-AH!" When Shadow talked, his tooth moved, causing the pain to increase.

"Shadow!" Sonic rushes over to him and puts a hand on his his muzzle.

The black hedgie blushes and takes a step back, a hand rubbing the left side of his cheek. How painful!

"I-I'm fine." he said sofly and gently to keep the tooth from shifting again.

"Doesn't look like you're ok." Knuckles said.

Shadow wanted to say something but Sonic covers his mouth quickly.

"You don't want the pain to come back, do you, pal?"

Shadow glared at him. Tails gave him a sketch pad so he can write down his words instead of saying them. Shadow takes it and writes it down. He turns it around, showing Knuckles what he wrote.

"Stick a cork down your throat, red head!!!" was what he wrote.

"What you little......"

"Knuckles, knock it off!" Tails shouted, afraid that a fight was going to start.

"I'm outta here, he can help himself."

When Knuckles said that, a plastic apple was thrown at his head. He immediately charged at Shadow, who threw it, but was held back by Sonic and Tails. Shadow just crossed his arms when they held him down and walks away.

~After Knucklehead left~

The blue hero walks in the livingroom and saw Shadow knawing on a plastic banana, leaving teeth marks on it. Poor banana. XD Sonic laughs and sits next to Shadow as he continues to bite on the banana.

"Can I see your tooth, please?"

Shadow picks up the sketch pad and writes. "Give me one good reason why I should let you see my tooth." he wrote.

The blue blur turned away, going red almost completly.

'Just say it you idiot! C'mon, spit it out!!!' Sonic opens his mouth.

"Becuase...it's very........very.........very-special-to-me-to-see-a-tooth-as-beautiful-as-yours!" the blue hero said.

The ebony hedgehog blushed dark red, bitting his lips nervously. He slowly opened his mouth, not  too wide but just enough for his blue friend to see his loose tooth. Sonic smiled and glanced at the small tooth. They shine so bright like the stars, clear as the clouds and sharp as a knife to penetrate threw skin. They're curved backwards like snake's teeth, but still amazing to see.

"Your teeth are fantastic!" he hugs the already nervous hedgehog. Shadow tries not to freak out and warily wraps his arms around the blue hero's back. Sonic pulls away and stares into those cherry-colored eyes, he loved them so much, and those lips, they look so good. He just wants to taste them.

And that's what he's going to do. Sonic grabs Shadow's waist and pulls him into a passionate kiss.

'His lips taste so sweet, so soft....' he thought.

Shadow was shocked, blushing an even darker red. 'He's kissing me! It.......it........it's so warm.'

Sonic prys the black hedgie's mouth open with his mouth and sticks his tongue in, exploring the cavern within. The ebony hedgehog relaxes and returns the kiss, having a battle with his tongue. But when Sonic accidently pushes his tongue on Shadow's tooth, he breaks the kiss, groaning in pain.

"Shadow, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, I swear."

"Huh?" Shadow hurries to the bathroom with Sonic following there. He opens his mouth and carefully moves the tooth. It didn't hurt much as it did so this was his chance to get it out. Pushing the tooth, he winced in pain as he tries to push it even further. Sonic watched, bitting his lip as his lover pushes the tooth. Finally, the tooth came out, falling in the sink with blood on the front.

"Shadow sighs, the pain finally gone. Licking his lips that had blood on it, he picks up his tooth.

"You should put that under your pillow, Shads. The toothfairy will take it, and leave a quater for you." Sonic said.

"The last thing I want is a chubby person stealing my special tooth." Shadow said.

"Shadow, how're doing with your, oh, it came out." Tails said coming in.

"Yeah, and I think it's time for me to go home. Thank you."

When the black hedgie was halfway out, Sonic grabs his wrist.

"Sonic, what-"

He was cut off when the blue hero kissed him.

"That's a goodbye kiss, see you tomorrow, sexy."

Sonic winked and closed the door. Shadow touched his lips before walking back home.

"Wow." he said, blushing.
